Loveland Community House and MuseumLoveland Community House and Museum combines a free local-history museum with an active Dixon community and event venue. Exhibits include a full-length portrait of city founder John Dixon, equipment from Charles Walgreen’s first drugstore, Civil War weapons, dolls and toys, pioneer tools, local industry artifacts, art, and Reagan memorabilia. The historic building also offers lounges, meeting rooms, a stage, full kitchen, and a dining hall seating up to 200 for weddings and events.

MCMotoParkMCMotoPark is a bike-only motocross facility just north of Mount Carroll, hosting District 17 and AMA events along with scheduled open-practice days. The groomed, watered track is supported by full restrooms, shaded spectator seating, a Snack Shack, camping, a lit basketball court, a fenced children’s playground, and the park’s Slip N’ Fly pond and amphitheater. Practice availability changes with weather, so riders should check Facebook or call before hauling.
Martin House MuseumThe Martin House Museum is Fulton’s local-history museum and the headquarters of the Fulton Historical Society. The 1855 brick Italianate home, later expanded with Queen Anne and Arts and Crafts details, preserves Fulton memorabilia, genealogy resources, plat books, historic newspapers, and community stories. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the accessible museum is open Sunday afternoons or by appointment, and offers a guide to Fulton’s historic district.

Mormons in Amboy Historical MarkerThis downtown Amboy historical marker identifies the site of Goldman’s Hall, where Joseph Smith III was ordained president-prophet of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on April 6, 1860. The event formalized the church’s reorganization, now known as Community of Christ. The marker also recalls Amboy’s early Mormon congregation and was erected in 1974 by the Lee County and Illinois State Historical Societies.
Morrison Covered BridgeThe Morrison Covered Bridge offers a scenic and functional crossing along the Morrison-Rockwood Recreational Trail, just north of Morrison, Illinois. Built in the early 2000s, this modern covered bridge was designed to enhance access to nearby Rockwood State Park while providing a safe route for both vehicles and pedestrians. Spanning approximately 140 feet, the two-span structure includes an adjacent pedestrian walkway, making it easy for walkers and cyclists to enjoy the surroundings at their own pace. The bridge crosses Rock Creek and is surrounded by natural scenery, creating a peaceful setting that’s especially popular for photos year-round. While not a historic structure, the Morrison Covered Bridge has become a recognizable stop for visitors exploring the area. Its location along the trail system makes it a convenient place to pause, take in the view, and continue on toward Rockwood State Park or nearby routes.
