Oregon captivates visitors as the artistic heart of Ogle County, where Taft's impressive Soldiers' Monument anchors the charming courthouse square and a thriving arts community continues his inspiring legacy through galleries and the sculpture trail.
Adventure awaits at Castle Rock State Park, where limestone bluffs offer spectacular Rock River vistas and excellent rock climbing, while Byron Forest Preserve's 900 acres of restored prairie and observatory create perfect family learning experiences. The iconic Black Hawk Statue (officially "The Eternal Indian") stands as the second-largest concrete monolithic statue in the world.
