The Morrison Covered Bridge offers a scenic and functional crossing along the Morrison-Rockwood Recreational Trail, just north of Morrison, Illinois. Built in the early 2000s, this modern covered bridge was designed to enhance access to nearby Rockwood State Park while providing a safe route for both vehicles and pedestrians.

Spanning approximately 140 feet, the two-span structure includes an adjacent pedestrian walkway, making it easy for walkers and cyclists to enjoy the surroundings at their own pace. The bridge crosses Rock Creek and is surrounded by natural scenery, creating a peaceful setting that’s especially popular for photos year-round.

While not a historic structure, the Morrison Covered Bridge has become a recognizable stop for visitors exploring the area. Its location along the trail system makes it a convenient place to pause, take in the view, and continue on toward Rockwood State Park or nearby routes.
