Morrison Lincoln Highway MuralThe Morrison Lincoln Highway Interpretive Mural at 208 E. Main Street depicts visitors arriving at the 1921 Whiteside County Fair after the newly paved Lincoln Highway made regional travel easier. Installed as part of the Illinois Lincoln Highway Coalition’s interpretive mural series, the hand-painted work connects Morrison’s fair heritage with the nation’s first transcontinental highway and forms part of the scenic byway’s public-art trail across Illinois.

Morrison Veteran’s Park & MemorialMorrison Veteran’s Park & Memorial on East High Street offers a quiet place to honor area veterans. The memorial includes a Howitzer field-artillery piece, tablets naming deceased Morrison-area veterans with service and burial information, personalized brick pavers, and granite benches for reflection. The American, POW/MIA, and Illinois flags fly above the site. Contact the City of Morrison for information about purchasing a memorial brick.

Morrison’s Heritage MuseumHoused in a building on the National Historic Register. Features exhibits of Morrison memorabilia, products manufactured locally, and special area exhibits. Open Fri–Sun, 1–4pm, last Friday in April–Thanksgiving. Free admission, donations appreciated.

Muller’s Lane FarmMuller’s Lane Farm is a 10.8-acre family homestead near Rock Falls dedicated to traditional farming, heritage animals, and hands-on home arts. By-appointment tours introduce visitors to an early-1900s working-farm experience, with Belgian draft horses, heritage poultry, gardens, orchards, hives, seasonal produce, eggs, honey, handmade milk soaps, salves, fiber arts, and forged items. The farm also offers customizable homesteading lessons for families, homeschool groups, and other visitors.

Norm Skare HomesteadNorm Skare Homestead preserves a piece of Rochelle-area pioneer history within Norm Skare Park. See the historic home and grounds, then explore the park’s shelter, disc-golf course, and hiking trails. Contact the Flagg-Rochelle Park District before visiting for current homestead access or interpretive programming.
Northwest Territory Historic CenterHistory research and learning center in Ronald Reagan’s boyhood school, Dixon, IL, affiliated with Smithsonian. Features exhibits on Native Americans, Reagan, Rock River Assembly, Chautauqua, farming, WWII, and more. Art gallery, theater, auditorium, and museum store. Open Mon–Fri, 9am–4pm.

Official Illinois Freedom BellReplica of the Liberty Bell (created 1862) in Mount Morris town square. Ronald Reagan dedicated a smaller Freedom Bell in 1963.
Ogle County CourthouseHistoric Ogle County Courthouse in downtown Oregon, constructed in 1891–1892 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The landmark remains an active county government building and a prominent architectural feature of the county seat.
Ogle County Historical Museum / Ruby Nash MuseumHistoric 1878 Nash home and museum presenting artifacts and stories from Ogle County's earliest settlers to the present.
Old Lee County CourthouseCompleted in 1901, the Old Lee County Courthouse is a Classical Revival landmark in downtown Dixon and a contributing property in the historic district. The domed cut-stone building stands on the site of Lee County’s earlier courthouse and continues to house county administrative offices and the County Board meeting room. A marker on the lawn recalls Abraham Lincoln’s campaign speech at the site.
Old Settlers Cabin, Lincoln Statue and Fort Dixon SitePresident’s Park brings together Dixon’s Old Settlers Cabin, Abraham Lincoln Statue, and former Fort Dixon site along the Rock River. Leonard Crunelle’s 1930 bronze depicts the 23-year-old Lincoln as a Black Hawk War militia captain, the only known statue showing him in military uniform. The 1894 cabin preserves local pioneer history and opens for special tours and events. The grounds and riverwalk are open for self-guided visits.
Old Settlers Log CabinBuilt in 1894 as a tribute to early settlers. Relocated to former Fort Dixon site. Also features a statue of Abraham Lincoln in military uniform. Managed by Lee County Historical Society, open weekends and during the Dixon Petunia Festival.
On Any Sunday Motorcycle MuseumPrivate motorcycle collection in downtown Polo with about 90 bikes on display, especially European motorcycles from 1928 through 1978, plus racing and street-bike memorabilia. Hours can be limited and access may be by chance or appointment, so call before traveling.
