1870 Buffalo Grove Lime KilnHistoric lime kiln on the Old Galena Trail, operated until early 1900s. Restored and on the National Register of Historic Places since 2002. Burned local stone for mortar used by pioneers.
1918 Standard Oil Filling StationRochelle’s first filling station and the first station built along the Lincoln Highway in Illinois. Restored in 2001, the 1918 landmark now houses the Spark Shop, a retail incubator for local small businesses.
