Our region is laced with waterways filled with nesting habitats for all sorts of birds, including American Bald Eagles, White American Pelicans, blue herons, woodpeckers, chickadees, and more. The Rock Falls Birding Trail starts at the Upper Dam, follows Second Street, and loops around Lawrence Park. Bald eagles can be seen in trees along the riverfront during winter months. Bring binoculars!
