Lyle Kunde Recreation Area / Lake Sule

Lyle Kunde Recreation Area is a 90-acre public park centered on 77-acre Lake Sule on Rochelle’s southeast side. The Flagg-Rochelle Park District site offers a boat launch, fishing, picnic and barbecue areas, shelters, restrooms, parking, and a memorial shade structure overlooking the water. Small boats and electric motors are suited to the lake, and anglers pursue bass, muskie, bluegill, saugeye, and catfish. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
